About this place
Located in Minamikugahara, Ota Ward, SUKE is a casual Japanese dining spot tailored to unwinding from the early evening onward. The food menu covers izakaya staples that go down easily with a drink, from horse sashimi (basashi) and Yanaka fresh ginger to buttered potatoes, chilled tofu, and salted fermented squid (shiokara). More substantial hot fare is also available, including beef tendon curry served with bread and curry ramen that works equally well as a finishing bowl.
The drinks list is broadly stocked, featuring draft beer, highballs mixed with Nikka Frontier or Deep Blend, and Takashimizu sake served in 2-go portions. Shochu drinkers can select sweet potato varieties like Zinku and Kuro Kirishima, or barley-based options like Goku and Kuroyufudake, available by the glass or as keep-bottles. Hokkaido corn tea highballs, Japanese black tea highballs, and citrusy shikuwasa sours provide plenty of lighter mixer options.
Diners also note seasonal touches such as yakitori and wintertime oden, enjoyed at a relaxed pace with table service. SUKE is open from 17:00 to 22:30 and closed on Sundays; seat reservations can be made, and cashless payments via PayPay and Rakuten Pay are accepted.
